THE ROLE

I am seeking an ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR BUILDING SURVEYING for a large multi discipline firm of construction and property consultants to join their office in the City of London.

You will have broad based building surveying experience on both project and professional work.

My client specializes in multi-disciplinary design services on refurbishment schemes, condition and asset surveys and services and are seeking an ambitious candidate ideally from the private sector with some business development skills.

My client is working on projects across a number of sectors including health, industrial, education, commercial, residential, government, lesure and culture working frequently on landmark projects.

You will lead a team so experience of management is essential.

THE COMPANY

Our client is a a large multi disciplinary firm of consultants with offices in the UK and abroad.

They work for clients in the public and private sectors.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS qualified) with experience of both project and professional work.

You will need to be Chartered with a number of years post chartered experience and have already gained some experience of managing and developing others.

You will need broad based experience as you will be involved in all aspects of building surveying work including some design services for refurbishment schemes condition and asset surveys and services, contract administration etc.

You will have experience of feasibility and concept reports, management of sub consultants and contractors and be able to compile and monitor project costs in line with budgets.

You will mangae asset surveys on larger survey programmes.

You will review and quality manage and approve the preparation of schedules of work, specifications and detailed drawings and tender packages etc.

You will also need to have managed a team and develop the skills of less experienced surveyors.

You should be able to support staff through the APC to become chartered.

You will need to be able to win work and doing bids.

Good communication skills are essential along with good written and spoken English to produce reports and to present at meetings.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious candidate with excellent client facing skills and experience.

Salary is in the region of £60000 to £65000 negotiable plus car allowance of £5000, pension scheme, and many other benefits.
