Our client is a US backed multi-asset private equity firm at the mid-cap range with c. €20 billion of equity capital under management and over 200 employees worldwide. Within the real estate arm, they provide both equity capital and debt, and funds are mainly value-add and operationally focussed on global markets.

A newly-created role has arisen within their London office for a Portfolio Manager at Associate level to support Asset and Investment Managers with the running of funds.

 

About the role:

  • Assist with internal and external reporting: preparing portfolio summary tables, KPIs, projects summaries, market research
  • Assist with projects internal quarterly valuations
  • Assist with annual fund valuations
  • Maintain the portfolio masterfile including accruals, liaising with investment colleagues, updating debt terms
  • Assisting with various regulatory  requirements
  • Ad hoc operational duties eg. fund documentation, working with finance/distributions
  • Capex control
  • Reviewing invoices
  • Supporting the Asset management team on acquisitions and disposals
  • Assist with debt servicing covenants
  • Set up of new projects (DD, handover, liaison with agents, lawyers, insurance etc)
  • Assisting with audits

 

About you:

  • Basic accountancy knowledge required (reading a balance sheet and P&L, understanding notions such as accruals or book costs)
  • Portfolio Management background likely to be from a fund, real estate or accounting firm, or accountant with experience in a real estate fund/firm
  • Thorough understanding of modelling for cashflow analysis IRRs
  • Degree educated with specialism in Accounting or advanced understanding of accounting matters
  • Superb knowledge of MS packages including Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Experienced in preparing presentations and reports
  • Well organised, thorough and diligent, have a great attention to detail and prepared to work flexibly
  • Travel to Europe as required
