Trainer for Residential Surveyors - Swindon area

We are helping our client recruit a trainer based near Swindon. Tasks include

  • Train all newly hired surveyors - all on the job and office-based duties which include: a minimum of 3 days training, two days in the field making sure to cover MV, HBR and BS as per surveyor qualification; one day in the office making sure all processes and main panel/clients are clear. Particular attention to be given to carrying out inspections and panel requirements for MV's.
  • Train all surveyors on the correct usage of their equipment
  • Undertake continuous improvement checks which includes regular report monitoring from new surveyors or surveyors under supervision.
  • Liaise with Audit Manager and agree actions for improvement and implement.
  • Identify training needs and agree training schedule with Managing Surveyor, Managing Director, HR and Finance Director.
  • Ensure client (Panel and Private) structure is understood and bought into.
  • Ensure training needs and schedule is kept up to date and recorded and agreed with Managing Surveyor and HR.
  • Assure compliance with company process and QA parameters.
  • Be able to ensure company RICS update and compliance.
  • Work closely with Managing Director, Managing Surveyor and QA Manager to identify and study complaints (repetition, types of complaints, areas, surveyors etc.) and minimise these as well as putting corrective actions in place to pre-empt complaints and add paragraphs to ensure company is covered from a legal point of view.
  • Possibly manage complaints procedure liaising with brokers, insurers and liaising with the Customer Care Team Leader and the MD to ensure the necessary written documents are written, approved and sent out in a timely manner.
  • Review surveyor's technical equipment and be informed of market standards, developments and trends to improve ease of use, speed and quality of service.
  • Quest Data development in collaboration with Managing Surveyor.
  • Report checking and answering queries raised by surveyors.
  • Regular home-visits to surveyors to check performance.
  • Organisation of learning days and motivational workshops.
  • During quiet phases, if any, surveying field jobs to undertaken (i.e. mortgage valuations, private valuations, homebuyers' reports and building surveys).
  • Liaise with surveyors over their CPD.
