Building Surveyor/CAD Manager

Location: Brighton - Hollingbury

Salary: £29,799 to £33,518 per annum

Your experience of surveying buildings of varying ages and construction and knowledge of AutoCAD and building Information Modelling software will be welcome in our busy technical team, where you will contribute to the delivery of the University’s maintenance programme and manage various projects across the estate.

The role will include:

  • Project management of works of improvement, alteration and refurbishment.
  • Management of the implementation of programmes of major maintenance projects.
  • Contributing to the planning and formulation of long term maintenance plans.
  • The management of external consultants.
  • Control of quality, progress and finance in relation to building works.
  • Developing and maintaining working relationships with colleagues within the Estates team and across the University.
  • Management of the department’s drawing records in AutoCAD/BIM format.

To succeed in the role you will be educated to degree level in an appropriate surveying or construction related discipline, or have an equivalent level of knowledge and analytical skills gained through work experience at a similar level.
