Construction Manager, London

£50,000 - £60,000 + Bonus

Capstone are currently recruiting on behalf of a niche development business who are recruiting for a Construction Manager to deliver an outstanding £6m Commercial Office scheme in the heart of London.

The ideal candidate should have a proven background within the high end residential or commercial office markets working for either main contractors or developers. You should also have a passion for listed properties and the desire to recreate the one time splendour such properties deserve. The ideal candidate would have delivered projects over £5m in value.

You will be required to prepare sites prior to the commencement of construction work (to set out the site and organise facilities), to plan projects and ensure that they meet agreed specifications, budgets and timescales

Key Responsibilities:

Negotiating sub-contractors and suppliers
Value engineering
Ensuring all sites are H&S compliant
Dealing with warranties, inspection and sign off
Identifying problems and offering solutions
Managing multiple projects at any one time
Delivering projects on time and on budget
Setting up projects with key in-house personal and sub-contractors
Reviewing labour and resource throughout the project duration
Reviewing and managing the programme and costs
Working with Site Manager ensuring programme, costs and quality are controlled
