About the role: 

We are looking to appoint a Head of Property Asset Management, to join our Facilities and Property Asset Management Team. You will have line management of a property team of circa five professionals. 

Reporting to the Head of Facilities and Property Asset Management, the purpose of this role is to lead the Property Asset Management Team. You will manage the Corporate Real Estate, maintain close and collaborative day to day working relationships within the Facilities Management team, liaise with key stakeholders within Finance and Business Services Directorate, as well as Senior stakeholders across the business including Executive Directors / Board. Working strategically and collaboratively with the Cabinet Office (Office of Government Property and Government Property Agency), stakeholder relationship and the provision of information including property statistics and running costs. 

You will assist and advise the Head of Facilities and Property Asset Management on the implementation of the HMLR Estates Strategy and management, property asset management budgeting, profiling, forecasting and annual running costs of £6 - 11m. Management of corporate real estate with existing use value of circa £50m.

You will be accountable for strategic planning and budgeting for property maintenance investment and forward maintenance planning for major expenditure. Attendance at Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) Customer board monthly meeting, with travel from time to time to HMLR's 14 offices and 3 data centres, with overnight stays where necessary. 

About you: 

To be successful in this role you will hold full professional membership in one or more of the following and hold significant experience in a relevant role, with knowledge and experience of statutory and regulatory requirements and codes of practice in respect of property management: 

- Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors to MRICS 
- Chartered Institute of Building MCIOB 
- Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers MCIOB
