Job Details

Are you a Town Planner in Bristol looking for an employer who understands the need for a work/life balance? I am representing a lovely firm in Bristol who are looking to recruit a junior town planner to support them on a wide range of exciting projects and are offering two days a week working from home.

This firm are an independent planning consultancy who have a great reputation in the market. Their portfolio of work is very varied and includes residential, mixed-use, commercial and retail schemes which vary in size from small scale developments up to larger housing developments. Their clients include housebuilders, land owners, property companies and public-sector organisations amongst others. You will be joining a small but established team based in North Bristol and the firm are offering 3 days in the office, 2 working from home as well as flexibility on start/finish times around client demand.

We are looking for town planners that are operating around the planner level which is typically 18m - 4 years' experience. The successful candidate will hold an RTPI accredited masters degree and be either already MRTPI or working towards it. You will have a good grounding in development management led work with an understanding of local and national planning policy. You will be skilled in writing planning statements, planning reps, preparing and submitting planning applications, liaising with consultancy teams and external bodies, working to deadlines and providing bespoke planning advice on a range of schemes. Some consultancy experience is advantageous but we also welcome applications from candidates with local authority/clientside experience.

This firm really understand the need for a work/life balance and reward hard work with competitive pay, regular bonuses and flexible working as well as great progression and support. It's a lovely team environment and there is RTPI support for those candidates who are still in their APC period.
