Assistant Commercial Manager

Our client is looking for someone who can fulfil the following roles and responsibilities.

Roles and responsibilities

• Reviewing and analysing cost plans and assisting designers in the pre-construction phase to ensure efficiency.
• Preparing tender documents and compiling a list of suitable contractors.
• Collating tender packs and conducting a tender return analysis.
• Making a tender recommendation and participating in the appointment of contractors.
• Producing contract documents to ensure an orderly start to on site.
• Providing advice on design, risk and value engineering and assisting with the management of change control.
• Assisting in the preparation of cash flow forecasts and the monthly cost report.
• Assessing and commenting on the progress and quality of the works in relation to the programme.
• Preparing contractor's valuations in accordance with the contract.

Required skills, experience and competencies

• You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
• Degree education and working towards being or recently chartered.
• Previous experience of working on large-scale construction projects, ideally residential.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to dive processes and conduct analysis.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
• Ability to negotiate to deliver commercial results.
