Assistant and/or Project Manager

WE have an immediate opportunity for an experienced Assistant and/or Project Manager to join a London Property and construction consultancy.

You will report to the Director where you will managing a range of projects across the following sectors:

• Healthcare
• Education
• Residential/Mixed
• Use, Heritage/Leisure
• wider Public Sector focused projects.

Overall management of projects from inception to completion - feasibility, planning, design, construction and post construction phases. This will include planning, programming and monitoring progress of the projects.

-Planning, programming and monitoring progress of the projects
-Preparation and presentation of technical and progress reports
-Managing / liaising with stakeholders / consultants and contractors
-Appraisal of contractors' work
-Communication and meetings with clients and key stakeholders

We are looking for candidates who add-value through their drive and enthusiasm for the role, and have a desire to grow our business through developing new, and nurturing existing, Clients.

Experience

Applicants should be degree qualified (in a construction discipline) - e.g. BSc (Hons) / BEng; and be chartered, or working towards Chartership, such as MRICS, MCIOB or MAPM.

Candidates should have proven Project Management experience including experience in client-facing roles.

You will have in depth knowledge of the construction delivery process from initial feasibility stages through planning, procurement, and delivery, leading to close-out and Client satisfaction. In addition should be familiar with NEC3 and JCT Contract Administration, Risk Management, and Stakeholder Management

You will have a proven track record of working within a consultancy business, and/or a developer or other client environment, and will have been actively involved in the management of multi-million pound construction projects. You will have excellent management and communication skills.

Candidates should also have skills in use of MS Office and programme management software.
