Senior Quantity Surveyor (Developer)

Our clients are a well-established Developer specialising in the Student Accommodation, Education, Residential, Commercial and Mixed-use sectors. They have successfully completed over £1 billion of developments with a further £700m of new schemes in the pipeline. As part of their ongoing growth plan, they are currently looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their construction team working on a high profile development in Leeds.

The business is currently going through a sustained period of growth so this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established but growing company where you will be involved on exciting projects ranging in value up to £100m. Initially, the role will involve acting as the principal QS on a high profile, £80m mixed-use development scheme in Leeds. Candidates must have experience working on all commercial aspects of projects from inception through to completion on projects of at least £30m or more. 

Role Outline:
You will be working within the Construction Team, in your role as Senior QS your main tasks in the job will focus around Cost Reporting, Risk Management, Sub-Contract Accounts, Client Accounts, Estimating and providing support to the Commercial Manager. It would be expected that you can display a successful track record as a Quantity Surveyor on New Build and Refurbishment, Commercial and Residential projects.

Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years' experience
- Holds the relevant qualifications e.g. degree qualification in Quantity Surveying, ONC and HNC level
- Must have experience working on large projects (minimum £30m) from inception to completion
- Working knowledge of the construction industry, commercial and procurement processes and procedures
- Excellent communication and client-liaising skills
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Good communication and delegation skills
