My client are a busy construction consultancy based a short walk from Victoria station. They have a strong reputation within the retail sector and have a busy team of Quantity Surveyors, Building Surveyors and Project Managers who are on the hunt for a new team member!

Due to recent project wins, they are in need of a Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor who can be efficient in the role immediately and grow with the business.

With proven success working in the retail sector, my client need a professional, articulate, driven Cost Manager with proven experience working within a consultancy environment in the UK. With a team of apprentices in the business, they also want someone who can be a strong mentor to the Juniors and be a strong team player.

The successful Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor will offer:

  • A BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
  • Ideally MRICS or working towards the qualification
  • Proven experience within the retail sector is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience working for a construction consultancy in the UK
  • Proven client-facing skills
  • Negotiation skills and a strong eye for detail

In the role you will have autonomy, career development opportunities, a strong team unit and training behind you, and the chance to run projects alone. You will initially assist an Associate Director within the business and then take control of where you want your career to develop!
