We are undergoing a Transformational programme of change at the same time as creating one new council, named Somerset West & Taunton, which will cover the area currently administered by Taunton Deane Borough Council and West Somerset Council. With this change comes the unique opportunity to wholeheartedly transform our ways of working and we are recruiting to a new team that will help us move from a traditional service-based structure to a borderless and flexible way of working that is fundamentally aligned to our priorities of people, place and prosperity.

We need two commercial property professionals with the expertise, skills and desire to shape and deliver our ambitions in Commercial Investment and Asset Management.

These are critical roles for us. As qualified property experts with commercial experience, you will lead and develop our strategic asset management and our major place schemes and programmes across the area, creating conditions for growth, prosperity and well-being. You will also be responsible for our future investment strategies and identifying key property related opportunities, developing business cases and the delivery of new investment projects that stimulate growth and regeneration and generate a commercial return for the Council.
