Building Services Manager

Location: Lyndhurst

Hours: 37 per week (full-time)

Salary: Band 9  £41,331 - £46,159

The Building and Coastal Service are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager who will want to make a difference. We are looking for someone who is pro-active and enthusiastic, with the desire to take the two teams forward in the delivery and provision of this function across the district.

The successful post holder will be responsible for the Building Control team who delivers the key function of building control requirements across the district, working closely with the Councils Planning service as well as the Civic Buildings team who are responsible for the Councils Offices and Depots, 

You will need to have good experience of the building industry through, building control, building maintenance or facilities management as well the experience of leading and managing a team. Good IT skills, accurate record keeping and effective communication skills are essential requirements. You will be working in a flexible office environment, with the chance to work from home as the Council develops its smarter working technology and so will need to have good organisational and administrative skills.

To apply for this post you must have attained a relevant professional qualification and appropriate post qualification experience in the discipline being an advantage. Membership of the RICS, CABE or equivalent is essential. A full, clean driving licence and use of a car is also essential for business purposes.
