Our client is a privately backed specialist real estate investment management firm headquartered in London with a highly experienced, entrepreneurial team dedicated to the acquisition and active management of industrial, offices, retail and mixed-use assets across Europe to generate superior returns for its institutional investors. The firm was established over 10 years ago and has grown to become a trusted fiduciary managing capital on behalf of leading pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, and asset managers.
They have over €4.0bn invested in core, value-added and opportunistic funds. It focuses exclusively on investments or corporate opportunities with a significant return on investment. The firm sources its investments in Western, Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Nordic region mainly in off-market transactions through the longstanding relationships of its experienced senior management team.
They now have an opening for a Spanish-speaking Investment Manager to be responsible for transacting opportunities in Spain and Western Europe. The role will focus on sourcing and overseeing due diligence of deals in Europe with particular focus on the Spanish markets.
About the role:
- Sourcing investment opportunities
- Overseeing full due diligence process
- Negotiating finance for real estate projects
- Managing and developing borrower relationships
- Interfacing with, JV partners, facility agents, senior and co-lenders, external advisors and the financial reporting team to promote consistency and drive synergies across investments
- Assisting in overseeing development projects with JV partners
- Communicating/reporting to board
About you:
- Proven track record in sourcing and transacting opportunities in the pan-European investment space (deal sheet will be required)
- Highly numerical with a finance related qualification e.g. CFA
- Exceptionally strong financial modelling skills in Excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport easily with others around you
- Experience of debt (preferable)
