One of the UK’s most inspiring and best known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for a Territorial Property Director to manage the property portfolio assets of The Salvation Army United Kingdom Territory with the Republic of Ireland (UKI). The post holder will also support our mission and ensure compliance with relevant legislation in all countries of the UKI. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Implementing and managing an effective property strategy to keep a property portfolio of around £3bn fit for the purpose of delivering its mission will be your main challenge. However, we will also rely on you to manage the Property team to ensure an efficient, professional and pro-active property management service is provided and high quality service standards maintained. 

The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:

  • An appropriate professional qualification in the construction or management field (e.g. RIBA, RICS, CIOB, CMI, DMS etc.) and/or a first degree in a relevant discipline 
  • Extensive senior level experience in property portfolio management, including leading on the property strategy in a complex, multi-site organisation 
  • Lots of enthusiasm and motivation, excellent communication skills at board level, both oral and written, and a proven ability to have impact on, and influence others 
  • First rate analytical and evaluative skills, with the ability to apply sound objective judgement in understanding consequences and reaching conclusions 
  • The ability to work within The Salvation Army’s Christian ethos and key values of integrity, accountability, compassion, passion, boldness and respect
