Rural Practice Surveyor
Location: Truro, Cornwall
Salary: £28,047 - £35,229
The Rural Practice surveyor, as part of a team, will be involved in actively managing the 4,400 hectare Council Farms estate, providing written Agricultural Appraisals in respect of planning applications and undertaking some commercial L&T work.
It is envisaged that the most appropriate Surveyor will have:
- a relevant professional qualification and be a member of a relevant professional body
- knowledge and experience of rural estate management.
The role requires you to:
- undertake a wide range of transactional property related matters and effectively manage the County Farms Estate
- build strong working relationship with tenants, local agents, members and clerks of Town and Parish councils to facilitate the day to day management of these Councils assets
- carry out rent reviews, the management of re-lettings, routine estate management activities, the collection of rent and preparation of legal instructions where rent is in arrears, the termination of tenancies and all end of tenancy matters.
The post could suit a Graduate Valuer who is keen to develop and complete their APC, or a recently qualified MRICS looking to develop experience across a range of assets.
* 23 days annual leave per year (increasing to 28 days after 5 years’ service) plus bank holidays.
