Are you used to acting as the informed client with regard to property asset strategies, workplace planning and design and delivering property and workplace schemes in a complex environment, sometimes under pressure? Are you ready to take on a variety of challenges in a unique historic environment? Then make the move to the House of Commons Strategic Estates Property team.

Our Strategic Estates team manages property and engineering infrastructures across a Parliamentary estate that consists of buildings that range from the historic Palace of Westminster to the modern Portcullis House. The Property and Workspace teams play their parts by providing real estate and workspace advice and services for both the House of Commons and the House of Lords and their strategic programmes. The demand for space is established by the two Houses as clients, while the property supply and design requirements are met by Property and Workspace teams. It’s here that we need your expertise.

As a Senior Property Analyst, you’ll be able to put your specialist and professional knowledge in property and workplace strategy to excellent use as you act as the informed client. You’ll also work with Design Strategists in the Workspace team, combining your experience in workspace planning, interior design and architecture to deliver building strategies, workspace optimisation and other corporate objectives. Assessing buildings for suitability and decant planning, as part of normal asset management, as well as for projects and high value strategic programmes will be important too. And when it comes to undertaking complex studies, preparing briefs and tenders or providing advice on a range of property and workplace issues, again, we'll count on you.

An Honours Degree in a relevant discipline such as Interior Design, Architecture or Surveying is essential, with a Masters or equivalent and a willingness to work towards Chartered status preferred. You’ll also need to be able to provide objective property and workplace advice, produce building/workplace feasibility studies, strategies and options appraisals.  You’ll have experience of preparing reports, drawings, presentations or business cases and effectively managing a variety of stakeholders. As someone who knows how to manage decant strategies in a complex environment, you’re great at planning and managing projects, reporting risks and issues and prioritising multiple activities too. .

In addition to an attractive salary, the benefits package includes the possibility of flexible working, while annual leave entitlement starts at 30 days per annum. There are also subsidised canteens, a gym on-site and a season ticket loan scheme is available.
