The role

From day one there will be a high level of client contact and the opportunity to build string networks with all of our UK offices.  Clients will be principally from the commercial sector although some public sector work will be undertaken. Clients are both occupiers and investors.

Roles and responsibilities

Main Accountabilities

• Taking and being responsible for instructions
• Working as part of a regional and national team for the delivery of portfolio survey 

      exercises or large building contracts

• Responsible for managing own workload on day-to-day basis
• Design and contract administration duties - principally repair and maintenance works with some fit out
• Dilapidations, acting on behalf of landlords/tenants
• Schedules of condition
• Fire insurance/reinstatement valuations
• Planned maintenance
• Assisting with Technical Due Diligence Surveys
• Building Pathology

Qualifications

      ·      Degree in Building Surveying

      ·      MRICS qualified

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

Essential

• Experience of design and contract administration duties - principally repair and maintenance works with some fit out
• Dilapidations, acting on behalf of landlords/tenants
• Schedules of condition
• Fire insurance/reinstatement valuations
• Planned maintenance

Desirable

• Acquisition/building surveys (Investor and occupier)
• Party Wall
• Project monitoring
• DDA surveys
• Defect analysis
• CAD

Key Skills/Competencies

• Good IT skills
• To be commercially minded with a strong sense of professionalism
• Good technical expertise
• Confident with clients – good communication skills
• Able to work with minimal supervision Keen to expand knowledge
• Driven to develop career through qualification and longer term experience
