Hays have partnered with a leading global independent property consultancy with over 300 offices worldwide, to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor to join the diverse, high-calibre team of professionals based in Belfast. Their commercial property consultants work with occupiers, investors and developers of office, industrial and logistic, retail and hotel property. The team provide strategic advice for property investment, tenant representation, facilities, property and project management and research and consulting.

Your new role
The Belfast Building Consultancy department are looking to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor to undertake a wide range of instructions across the discipline, including; project management and contract administration, dilapidation's, landlord and tenant advice, pre-acquisition surveys, Reinstatement Costs Assessments, PPM's Costs technical due diligence on a range of commercial property. The role will involve increasing the range and quantity of instructions via business generation to ensure development of the department as a whole, communicate fully with all stakeholders concerned to ensure that business is managed in an efficient and professional manner and support the wider team with professional advice as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal applicant will be MRICS with a degree qualification in Building Surveying and 5 - 10 years of experience within a commercial environment. Additionally: Good appreciation of professional and project based building surveying matters; Good communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to build, develop and maintain existing business and client relationships; Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a project; Strong organisational capabilities to ensure that projects are completed within defined timescales; Clean driving license.
