Building Surveyor

Our client, a UK Real Estate Investment Trust, require a Building Surveyor to support the Property Services Manager (PSM) in all matters relating to occupied / vacant properties and the dilapidations and refurbishment programme to ensure premises are presented in their optimum condition to re-let or altered to accommodate customer requirements in accordance with Agreement to Lease documentation.

With numerous refurbishment projects on the go each year, their attention to detail and ability to multitask is stretched to the full. They support the Property Services Manager on all projects ensuring they are completed within budget, specification and timescale.

In line with the region's capital and revenue budgets, the Building Surveyors main function is to support the PSM's in delivery of the following :-

• Refurbishment projects (vacant units and agreement to lease works)
• Dilapidation process
• Licence for Alteration process
• Consultant and Contractor management

The role has been created as a new role due to the large number of projects in the Greater London Business Unit. The role is extremely busy and involves project managing a huge range of external consultants on each project around the London area (including the airports). Customers range from large distribution centres and warehouses for cargo handlers, parcel delivery companies, food retailers and wholesalers, fashion brands etc to small industrial units.
