The Diocese of Westminster provides pastoral care and support to half-a-million people who identify themselves as Catholics. Pastoral care for these Catholics, as well as people of all faiths and none, living in these communities, is primarily implemented through the 212 parishes, 209 schools, and social outreach agencies coordinated by Caritas Westminster, spanning 17 Local Authorities in London, Herts and part of Surrey.

We are now seeking a passionate proactive and enthusiastic Estates Building Surveyor to join our Property Services Team in Hendon.

With particular responsibility towards the Education estate of our diverse property portfolio through the long-term asset management, maintenance and development of the estate.

The post-holder will be a qualified Chartered Surveyor Building (MRICS) or Chartered Builder (MCIOB) and will possess significant experience in handling key issues relating to property and building works together with a good knowledge of property legislation. An understanding of the ethos of the Catholic Church would also be desirable.

Hours of work:  

35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, with some evening work required)

Salary:   

up to £54,000 per annum(depending on experience and qualifications’)  + car allowance
