Building Surveyor

Building Surveyor Opportunity, Domestic Property, South Wales, £20 per hour, Immediate Start.


Your new organisation
Your new organisation is a Social Housing provider in South Wales who have a portfolio of domestic premises in the local area, due to the ongoing WHQS works within their department they are looking to add a Building Surveyor into their existing team.

Your new role
Your new role will be to evaluate building defects and faults within residential properties. You will carry out stock condition surveys and undertake contract administration including producing schedules of works, specifications and pre-contract information. You will supervise contractors in a client side role and monitor Healthy & Safety as well as experience of completing required documentation including permits to work etc.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a sound working knowledge of building regulations in relation to domestic/social housing premises. A working knowledge of CDM regulations. Previous experience in a building surveying role identifying building defects. Educated to at least HNC level. CAD experience would be beneficial but not essential. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Full driving license and access to a vehicle.

What you'll get in return
You will receive £20 per hour (PAYE or Umbrella), 37 hours per week minimum, 6 months+ employment, working in a friendly and professional office environment. You will have access to company pool cars for site visits/surveys but you will need access to your own vehicle in the event there are unavailable, mileage will be paid at £0.45 per mile.
