Head of Dilapidations, Chartered Building Surveyor

A head of dilapidations  is required by  a well regarded “boutique” property and construction consultancy in the City of London.

This consultancy works with a fantastic range of clients, from Asset Managers, Banks, Developers, Funds, Investors and Landed Estates. They offer the full array of building consultancy services, from acquisition surveys, contract administration, defect diagnosis, development management/ monitoring, fire risk insurance valuations, neighbourly matters and project management. The company works through commercial, leisure and residential schemes.

The greater business employs 23 people from their central London office, 12 of which are building surveyors, who are ably led by two Directors who offer more generalist building surveying services. This opportunity would see you join as a peer to the two Directors, building out the service line and a specialist team.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record of working with landlords and tenants on exit strategies and delivering successful outcomes in dilapidations negotiations. You will be a member for the RICS, via the building surveying pathway. It is expected that you will be used to competing for and winning client instructions. You will be a recognised professional, who has a loyal client following and will be able to work off an established client base and differentiate your service from the competition.

In return you will be given full support to enable you deliver a seamless service and grow a strong business unit. You will receive excellent compensation by way of package and a clear bonus structure that is based upon a multiplier. It is anticipated that you would earn the right to buy in to the practice within 24 months.
