HCC Property Services is a significant in-house public service business.  We are a forward thinking organisation with a national reputation for delivery, design, asset management and construction procurement.  The service supports Hampshire County Council and other public sector clients delivering major projects and programmes as well as the management of thousands of properties and land assets.  We are going through a period of transformation introducing a new operating model, restructuring the business, introducing new digital platforms and actively seeking new business opportunities.  It is the perfect time for ambitious and committed leaders to join us.

Reporting to our Strategic Operations Manager, you'll be leading a number of multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated hard and soft facilities management, as well as maintenance services and capital investment across a diverse portfolio of public sector assets.

Liaising closely with our client organisations – which include Hampshire County Council, Police, Fire and schools - you'll lead on delivering facilities management and maintenance strategies that meet the clients’ operational needs ensuring clear planning, agreement on priorities and budget allocation, as well as robust performance management.   With a commitment to continuous improvement, you'll have a proven track record of successfully managing change to meet evolving customer needs and the ability to exploit digital technology to deliver efficiencies and modernise service delivery.  In addition you'll play a full role in the Property Services Leadership Team, making an important contribution to policy and strategy across our multi-disciplinary services.

As you'll be responsible – directly or indirectly – for the management of multi-disciplinary teams of in excess of 200 people (consisting of consultants and external suppliers, as well as in-house staff), it’s important that you have strong leadership skills and experience of delivering a large, front-line operational service.

With substantial experience at a senior management level, you’ll ideally have a professional qualification or membership in a property related discipline and strong commercial awareness. We’ll expect you to identify opportunities, develop strong business cases and manage significant operational budgets.

If you’re ready for your next career move with a forward-thinking organisation, then apply here.
