Primary Job Purpose - To provide a professional Land acquisition service

• Support the delivery of key business performance targets for the region, in order to meet wider company business objectives.
• Responsible for the acquisition of sites to meet the Region workflow requirements and dates.
• Support the Company culture and values and the delivery of high levels of business performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities - Provide an efficient and effective Land acquisition function:

• Be fully aware of the land acquisition budgets for the Region in terms of numbers of sites, units and timelines for the delivery of board packs.
• Conduct land acquisition negotiations on behalf of the Company.
• Adhere to Company standard practices and procedures for land acquisition and ensure site selection is in accordance with the defined criteria within the Land Guide.
• Be fully conversant with and follow the Land department processes and procedures in order to compile board pack submissions.
• Be fully aware of the role of other Departments within the Company and work with them closely to ensure that projects run smoothly, accurately and efficiently.
• Be fully aware of the Fusion project management process.
• Work closely with the Team Coordinator to ensure that all communication and documentation is properly managed.
• Develop and maintain contacts strong positive links with agents, local authorities and landowners.
• Recommend to the Land Director ways to promote land purchase and to notify them of any major events in the region such as conferences, exhibitions, public meetings etc. which may be vehicles for promoting the company's land purchase programme.
• Submit a weekly land update report.
• In respect of any prospective land purchase, ensure that a proper brief is provided to the project team to enable a cost-effective feasibility plan to be produced.
• Instruct, examine and approve all information submitted in support of any site purchase. Check all detail and correspondence and send copies as appropriate to the Director.
• Instruct the company's solicitors on all land purchases within the designated area of the region. Ensure that any other relevant correspondence is sent out as appropriate on any land transaction.
• Ensure that all correspondence sent from the regional office concerning land and related matters is as per the standard documentation and is in accordance with company policy. Ensure that the appropriate caveats are entered into all documents and correspondence.
• Ensure relevant information concerning progress after exchange is provided to vendors.
• Ensure regular communication with colleagues to enable the efficient and effective sharing of key information.
• Provide guidance and training to others as required.

Education and Qualifications

• A' level standard or equivalent.
• An MRICS, or MRTPI or similar qualification preferred.
• CSCS Visitor Card preferred.
