This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager with experience of - and a real passion for - project management. Joining our existing Building Surveying and Asset Management team within the Cockermouth Office, you will develop a wide range of valuable skills and knowledge. You will play an active role in providing all kinds of built environment services, covering clients’ needs, varying from local commercial and residential projects to large commercial sites. Because of the incredibly varied nature of our work, it is vital that you are highly flexible and keen to learn and grow in all of the areas and sectors that we work in.  

Your role

From day one, you will be involved in a variety of duties. We will expect you to assist senior project managers with undertaking project management duties to ensure the successful delivery of projects to time and budget. Working with colleagues who are experts in their field, you will discover how to develop leading edge solutions, maximise efficiency, achieve project revenue targets and use specialist software. Crucially, you will learn to exceed clients’ highest expectations. You will be working towards achieving your APM status within 2-4yrs. You will be flexible and proactive, helping to deliver projects and manage documentation, as required, to deliver to clients.

  • Great communication skills
  • Reliable problem solving abilities
  • Proactive to new skills and learning
  • Knowledge of relevant software solutions (Microsoft Office Package)
  • Basic understanding of finance/accounting preferred
  • Driving licence
  • Suitability for security clearance
