Full and Part time considered (17.5 OR 35 hrs/wk), permanent

Based central Reading, Berkshire

Salary range £40,000 - £43,000 FTE pa plus benefits

We’re looking for an individual with practical and academic experience in the subject of Real Estate, who has a keen desire and passion to teach students and support their success!

The main purpose of this role is to provide academic leadership in the subject of real estate, with particular emphasis on one or more of the following areas: Valuation; Investment Appraisal/Portfolio Management; Commercial Property Management; Commercial Property Agency.

Within this role you will undertake associated academic tutoring and pastoral support for programmes, contribute to the development of new programmes, and aid the research ambitions of the School of Built Environment which includes the engagement of those within the industry and associated professional bodies. You will be a key individual in achieving UCEM’s organisational goals, most crucially maximising student’s potential to achieve academic success.

Key qualities we’re looking for include:

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant subject
  • Relevant professional qualification(s)
  • Real estate practitioner or research/tutoring experience in appropriate subject areas (refer to job specification)
  • Understanding of current developments in real estate practice or education
  • Ability to produce innovative module material to enthuse students
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Impeccable communication skills
