Quantity Surveyor - Falkland Islands

Your Role 

Responsibilities:

• Lead on QS related matters and provide advice and guidance in addition to dealing with relevant issues as required.
• Support the development and delivery of contracts; support efficiencies and improvement.
• Support the monitoring and measurement of costs associated with contracts.
• Support contract changes and amendments including assisting with the evaluation, negotiation and agreement process.
• Provide support to commercial on commercial activities, contract performance and management.
• Provide cost estimating services and cost benchmarking activities, including where necessary training on the Schedule of Rates or similar and the development of estimating tools and databases.
• Provide cost advice and direct QS support.
• Conduct audits as directed by the FM, and report findings including the development of an appropriate action plan.
• As part of the management team, attend management meetings and contribute to reports and returns.
• Advice and agreement on procurement methodology 
• Cost advice to include post measures against SOR
• Cost advice against application of Booklet rates for project delivery costs
• Agreement on additional services and ‘star’ rates and enabling arrangements
• Cost advice against ‘Compensation events’ 
• Advice on risk quantification

About You:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Economics or similar subject and Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with extensive recent relevant experience.
