We now have an exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the South West's leading employers as an Assistant Property Surveyor to join our property team in Exeter.

The Role

The Assistant Property Surveyor will provide a quality estates management service, with a nationwide remit, across a portfolio of 400+ leasehold and freehold properties. The Group’s portfolio predominantly comprises operational commercial, waste management and water properties but there are offices, agricultural and residential premises and a let portfolio which generates in excess of £1million p.a.

The main focus of the Service is to optimise the commercial position of the Group’s property assets, and to provide the highest level of estates management advice and service to operational  departments.

A particular focus of this role will be to assist both the Development and Property Surveyors with a diverse range of estate management and development case work.

The Ideal Assistant Property Surveyor:

  • Either holding or being close to obtaining an RICS accredited Degree or equivalent qualification in Estates Management
  • A Graduate or with  some  experience you are committed  to gaining your APC. And membership of the RICS.
  • Awareness of law, practice and principles relating to Estate Management, Valuation and Landlord and Tenant
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated, ‘can do’ approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to plan own work as well as work flexibly with schedules and priorities determined within the service.
  • Willing to travel nationwide and to stay away from home overnight as required.
  • Full Driving Licence
