The opportunity:

Are you an experienced property professional with an established track record in valuations and estates? Do you pride yourself on your ability to negotiate effective business solutions? Are you looking for an interesting and challenging professional role but want to work part time? Come and join our Asset Management and Estates team and help make a difference to the lives of our residents within West Sussex.

As a lead property professional, you will be responsible for managing and delivering the effective operation of an estate and valuation service across a broad range of property assets held by the County. This interesting role could include negotiating on multi-million pound deals to acquire, develop and dispose of assets so your experience of the commercial property market will be crucial. As a technical specialist, you will be instrumental in managing a number of complex projects either working alongside internal service teams, senior management of partner organisations or through direct project management of externally appointed consultants. You will be relied upon for your timely advice and experience to guide the county in property decisions.

You will allocate and monitor work, motivating the team to meet objectives and deliver an effective client focussed service. You will engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, providing high level authoritative advice and information, producing effective delivery plans and business cases, resolving problems with an awareness of long term strategies and the high impact on services of property related decisions. In order to achieve this you will build and maintain positive, effective relationships and influence activities including working across and outside of the organisation.

Relocation packages of up to £10,000 are available, subject to meeting certain criteria.
