Senior Estates Surveyor

I have been instructed to recruit for an Interim Estates Surveyor for a public sector business in Lancashire. Having placed interim workers in this business previously, all have thoroughly enjoyed their placements and speak highly of the business and its employees for such a positive working environment.

Your new company
I am working with an organisation in Lancashire who are looking to recruit a Chartered Estates Surveyor to assist during peak in workload. You'll be joining an experienced team who manage a diverse, mixed use portfolio.

Your new role
You will be responsible for carrying out estate management functions including new lettings, lease terminations, rent reviews and lease renewals and landlord and tenant advice for a range of properties including offices, industrial and retail. You will be required to acquire properties by agreement and under compulsory purchase legislation. Provide professional advice including valuations, inspections, discussing compensation proposals, negotiations with professional bodies assisting in the timetabling and phasing of purchase and clearance of residential and commercial land and property. You will be required to provide a valuation service including capital and rental valuations and business rates assessments and carry out structural surveys, prepare schedules of condition, dilapidations and reports.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience in a similar role is essential and you must have dealt with all aspects of what is listed above. You must be an MRICS OR FRICS Surveyor and ideally be a registered Valuer also. You must have a full driving license as travel will be required across the area - just to add this is a relatively small area.

What you'll get in return
You will get the opportunity to work as part of a small, close knit team on a mixed use portfolio. The role is for at least 3 months however this does have the high possibility of being extended.
