Building Surveyor

Cowen Resourcing are working with a multi-disciplined property consultancy based in Bristol who offer a range of services from lease renewals and asset management to dilapidations and construction project management throughout the UK.

They are a growing and ambitious company and currently have £14m of project management contracts in hand with additional projects in the pipeline.

Job Role

You will be responsible for delivering a high standard of Building Surveying services to a range of demanding commercial clients. You will proactively contribute to the development of the client base, support and develop a culture of cross-discipline working between the departments, developing and maintaining business relationships with key individuals in the client businesses.

The role will require the involvement of and it will be beneficial if the candidate has experience in the following areas:

• Excellent Building Surveying skills with good knowledge of construction methods of the built environment and defect analysis.
• Experience of Building Control, Planning Applications, CDM 2015, HSE Legislation
• Understanding of managing a professional team of designers and construction professionals to deliver projects within budget and timescale.
• Preparing Pre-acquisition building surveys
• Preparing schedules of condition
• Preparation and negotiation of schedules of dilapidations
• Preparation of schedules of works
• Project management
• Contract administration
• Assessment of rebuild costs for insurance purposes
• Party wall matters
• Planned maintenance programmes
• Technical Due Diligence
