Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our clients have an opening for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Leeds to assist with their focus of creating better communities, businesses and homes. In their tenth year now, they are continually expanding which has opened up a fantastic opportunity.

You will take full responsibility of all projects and partnerships in regard to commercial and contractual aspects. Preserving client relationships will be of vast importance along with finding new clients as well.

Key responsibilities:

-Resource Procurement - Ordering & preparation of suitable resource procurement schedule, evaluation of sub contract prices, subcontract enquiries, chairing Sub contractor post tender & pre-order meetings, financial management of subcontractors up to and including agreement of concluding accounts, drafting subcontractor orders, working out any disputes with subcontractors.
-Project Procurement - Valuing projects to agreed time-scales & margins in line with other team members.
-Strategic Management - Encourage best practice. Mentor and encourage other team members, offer frequent & effective communication with client and partners teams, spot and pro-actively manage known risks.
-Financial Control - Developing and monitoring precise costs to complete and finalise account forecasts, efficient cost and value reports, cash flow management, agreement & payment, valuation process including timely submission, exact valuation & payment of subcontractors, estimate & payment of directly employed team.

-Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook) and understanding of accounting packages.

You will bring with you at least 5 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role and bring relevant qualifications/experience on housing projects and refurbishment contracts.

Your performance will always be monitored to make sure you are assisting and contributing to help maximise profit and cash levels, reducing any highlighted risk, creating accurate and consistent financial reports on time, making a positive difference to the commercial team, support the Managing Quantity Surveyor along with other Senior Quantity Surveyor and act as a company ambassador to boost the companies' reputations.

Salary on offer:

£40,000 - £50,000
