Major Projects - Manager

A company with wide UK success to date, a strong history spanning over 20 year's and progressive plans for 2018 and beyond are now looking to bring in a Major Projects Manager to join their pre-existing team. This role offers a salary up to £70,000 per annum, location allowance, car scheme and various other benefits.

The Company

Offering Insurance and Warranty solutions to builders, developers and various other clients they have built a reputation for excellence - allowing new employees to be part of something special. The business currently stand at circa 300 employees, 60% of which are remote working and the remainder working from their large Head Office. The plan is to continue to build upon this and ultimately gain an even larger market share.

The Role

So, what is a Major Projects Manager?

This role is ultimately overseeing the Building Control and Technical Surveyors whom are working on the companies Major Projects. To clarify, major projects to them means high-rise, complex and very technical projects. Predominately these projects are within London and the surrounding area hence why the successful applicant could be living within a 30 mile radius of Central London.

Management: Within this role the successful applicant will play a core role in recruitment, staff reviews, target setting and training of staff.

Wider business: Within the wider company they will play a key role within business development, supporting of the sales team and continuing the companies excellent reputation.

Day to day: Applying Building Control to high-rise and complex projects. Conducting site inspections to assess risk and offering technical advice to employees and clients.

Requirements:

Must be Chartered (CABE, RICS, CIOB, MIStructE) due to the nature of the work.

Must have extensive Building Control Surveying experience.

Ideally a good level of people management experience although this could be over-looked for a candidate wanting to progress who is Chartered and experienced within Building Control to an exceptional level.
