SEO Chartered Valuation Surveyors
SEO Chartered Valuation Surveyors, Valuation Office Agency
Salary: £37,146 National, £41,903 London: pro-rata for part time staff.
The Valuation Office Agency is a world leader in property valuation, and yet here, value isn’t just about property, or business rates. We define value in terms of our people: high quality training, interesting and varied work, and a balance with life outside of work.
Our surveyors take on wide-ranging work with major social impact. We value millions of UK properties, from airports to zoos. Our work underpins the collection of over £50 billion each year to help fund public services. And while our focus is public, the mind-set and pace are distinctly business orientated.
Along the way, your personal development is properly structured, progression is actively supported, exceptional training is available, and some of the most experienced professionals in the industry are on hand to share their expertise. And while we work hard, we respect your work-life balance, with working conditions reflecting the best in the sector.
That’s our definition of value.
As an SEO Chartered Valuation Surveyor, you’ll be responsible for valuations, negotiations, and engaging with different audiences, from public sector clients to colleagues. You’ll manage varied caseloads, undertake site inspections and visits, oversee the quality assurance process, and represent the Valuation Office Agency at tribunals. . There’s more to the role, though, than technical expertise, as partnerships will be key. You’ll manage relationships with clients and agents, keeping everyone engaged. And throughout, you’ll maintain our high standards for quality, delivering to often demanding deadlines.
A proven leader, with a track record of effective professional decision-making, you’ll have delivered in a fast-paced environment. As well as being technically-proficient, you’ll be a strong communicator who works collaboratively and has relevant knowledge of property valuation and the factors at play.
You’ll also have a full Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors qualification (or equivalent) or due to sit your APC in spring 2019.
