This is an exciting opportunity for a Building Surveyor to join our Asset Management team in our multi disciplinary Birmingham office. You will play an active role in the delivery of services to a wide range of public and private sector clients and will assist with our further planned expansion into commercial work. Our workload is varied and, in addition to normal Building Surveying duties, you may be required to assist with bid submissions and presentations. We are looking for a flexible and motivated team player who is willing to travel within the UK and perhaps overseas when assignments arise. 

Your Role

Working both independently and alongside other disciplines you will be involved in a range of work encompassing compliance studies, measured and condition surveys, production of specifications, tender documents and management of projects through to completion. You will provide professional and technical advice to both internal and external clients and will aim to seek innovative and cost-effective solutions. You will build and maintain strong client relationships and be able to assist with the mentoring of our graduates through the APC route.

About You

A Chartered Building Surveyor MRICS with at least one year of post qualification experience, who will bring sound knowledge and proven experience, ideally gained in a commercial work environment.

• Party Wall procedures
• Schedules of Dilapidations
• General survey work
• Contract administration
• Compliance audits
• Defects analysis

Fully conversant with MS Office and confident working with the latest survey technology.

Excellent attention to detail, comfortable producing high quality reports and presentations.
