Senior Consultant - Procurement

We are working with a Global Construction Consultancy who are looking for an experienced individual to strengthen their procurement and contracts capabilities in their team, working across the Infrastructure & Rail sector, based out of the office in Birmingham

The client

Our client are a Global Infrastructure Consultancy with revenue in the £Bns, and who work across a variety of sectors including Utilities, Property, Construction, Infrastructure, Energy and Transportation

Role description

The role will involve working alongside a team delivering procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services to a key account client.

* To provide specialist procurement strategy advice to public and private sector clients.
* Support the development of the procurement services provided by the business
* To support business development and marketing of the Contract Services division.
* To support the delivery of both team and wider business targets.

The candidate:

We are looking for the following skills:

* Procurement strategy
* Contract Management within NEC
* OJEU Procurement
* Supply chain intelligence
* Contract development
* Commercial modelling
* Supplier evaluation strategies
* Contract terms, negotiation and award

The right candidate will ideally have the following experience:

* Preferably possess degree related to quantity surveying, law or procurement or be MCIPS.
* Experience of various forms of contracts with particular focus on NEC and JCT.
* Confident, independent and able to work autonomously without need for supervision.
* Be able to manage work/business development/career development activities.
* Excellent communication skills, adaptable, with a determination to succeed.

Additional qualifications across MRICS/MSc/LLB/MCIPS/MCIArb/MEng or in a Construction Law discipline would be very advantageous
