As our Project Leader you will be responsible for overseeing the timely execution and completion of both the pre-construction and construction phases of the project. You will have full ownership, responsibility and accountability for the project. We have a need for a Project Leader in Hertfordshire building a £80 million mixed-use Commercial project.


What responsibilities will the Project Leader have?

  • Reporting to the Managing Director/Contracts Manager/Project Director on a regular basis on the progress and performance of the project
  • Ensuring the management of the project in accordance with the Company Management System (CMS) such that SRM's policies and legislation in terms of quality, environmental and safety are complied with
  • Managing the project such that the SRM's objectives in terms of cost and programme are met
  • Delegating responsibility to the key personnel as noted on the project organisation chart
  • Producing and maintaining the contract programme and the procurement schedule

 

We are looking for someone who is able to immerse themselves into project and work collaboratively with the team. They need to be results driven and strive to completely the project in a timely manner whilst maintaining high quality and safety standards.


Candidates should ideally have a Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management along with;

  • Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card
  • Proven working experience in managing construction activities
  • Must have a technical, engineering background
  • Knowledgeable of construction processes, means and methods
  • Good knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
  • Knowledge and understanding of forms of contract, (e.g NEC3, JCT D&B)
  • NEBOSH is preferable
  • Membership of construction industry related Professional Body (e.g CIOB,ICE)
  • APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ)
