Joining this growing firm as a Quantity Surveyor you will join a team that works across a range of project types and sizes in the PQS division of a growing multi-disciplinary property group. Strong opportunities for progression.

Company:

An established PQS firm predominantly working with large architectural practices from Mayfair to Marylebone, their client base extends across a broad range of projects, including; high-end residential, commercial, hotels, restaurant chains and offices. The majority of their work is located in the Kensington, Mayfair and Marylebone area.

Their work covers a wide range of projects both in size and type ranging from £500k to £25m, with projects varying from alterations and extensions to existing buildings, to handling major new build and refurbishment projects involving the highest quality of finishes.

As part of the succession plan this Associate Quantity Surveyor Designate will be working alongside the incumbent who will be retiring in 18 months. Alongside any work that they may generate or bring with them, they will become familiar with all existing clients and the systems and processes used within the company. Based from their Central London offices in Cavendish Square, they will also spend c. 2 days/week visiting the Harefield offices to immerse themselves fully in the running of the company.

This Quantity Surveyor role will suit an ambitious Quantity Surveyor with the experience, drive and desire to become a important part within the PQS division of this multi-disciplinary property group.

Person Specification: Quantity Surveyor

• Experienced Quantity Surveyor
• 3+ years' practical experience
• Proven experience on a range of project types
• Ideally Chartered, MRICS, but not essential
• Excellent communication and client liaison skills

Roles and Responsibilities : Quantity Surveyor

Working across the fields of Quantity Surveying, construction cost management, Project co-ordination and EA our client covers a broad range of work including;

• Contractual documentation including advising on procurement strategies
• Preparing tender documentation
• Contract documentation, to include detailed Specifications, Schedule of Works, Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Rates, etc.
• Tender analysis and negotiation
• Subcontractor selection and negotiation
• Pre- and post-contract documentation
• Cost management and control
• Cost planning and estimates with comparative cost studies
• Design evaluation
• Feasibility studies
• Cost appraisals
• Pro-active and accurate forecasting

Salary and package: Quantity Surveyor

Our client is offering a generous package of Up to £60,000 depending on experience and background. Our client is keen to put together a highly competitive package focused on a candidates experience and background, including an incentive scheme to ensure that results are well recognised.
