Are you a Senior Planner or Associate level charted Town Planner working in the Midlands market who is looking to work for an independent, highly successful, approachable and flexible employer? I have an opportunity at this level offering the chance to work on great projects for a robust client base which can consider full time, part time and flexible working patterns.

We are looking for an MRTPI candidate, ideally with some private sector experience to join this independent planning consultancy who are based just South of Birmingham. We can consider an existing Senior Planner or a Junior Associate level candidate. This firm generally operate across a 1.5-2hr radius of Birmingham, so knowledge of the Midlands market regional policies would be advantageous. The projects tend to be all major schemes (200-300 units is a typical scheme for them but they do go up to around 1000 units). They do a lot of work in the residential sector as well as industrial/logistics, mixed-use, education and commercial work. We are looking for client facing, organised, personable candidates with plenty of enthusiasm for planning and the built environment. You should feel comfortable project managing schemes although support is always on hand. You will enjoy networking and have a good network of contacts through the region. You will need a full driving licence and access to a car.

You will be joining a very friendly team with an excellent staff retention record, the chance to work on a really interesting mix of projects, get plenty of client exposure, have the opportunity to work flexibly on either a full or part time basis and have marked progression opportunities. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary and benefits package as well as a generous bonus scheme.

To apply for this role please do not hesitate to contact Ruth Hoggett (ruth@beachbaker.co.uk). By clicking apply, please be assured that your CV will not be sent to the client until you have been fully briefed on the role and given permission for us to do so. We will confidentially retain your details and inform you of any other suitable opportunities arising should you not be successful in this role.
