Job Details
This is a key role within a small and close-knit team, with significant exposure and responsibility offered from an early stage. The role offers good variety of activity, being a blend of financial, commercial and legal and the ideal candidate will relish the opportunity to work within an entrepreneurial environment in this fast-paced and growing business,
Key responsibilities
The successful candidate will support the Investment team, Chief Development Officer and CFO in a number of activities, including:
- Research into UK, European and US markets
- Origination: Detailed analysis of potential opportunities including financial modelling
- Execution: Assistance with commercial, financial and legal due diligence, preparation of investment reports, assistance with negotiation of legals and completion of transactions
- Project work across a number of different businesses and industries

- Highly analytical with excellent Excel skills specific to financial modelling
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to present information clearly and concisely
- Attention to detail, rigor and structured thinking
- Pro-active with good problem-solving abilities
- Efficient and able to balance multiple responsibilities with good upward management skills
- Team player, able to work and develop relationships with a variety of personalities with different professional backgrounds within a multidisciplinary team
- Highly numerate and with solid technical skills
Essential qualifications/experience
- Educated to Degree level, minimum 2:1 grade in maths, economics or similar subject
- c. Two or three years' experience in an analytical or transactional role with a heavy financial modelling-aspect
- Interest in the hospitality and leisure sectors
Desirable qualifications/experience
- Master's Degree
- Experience within a top tier strategy consultancy (Corporate Finance advisory also considered)
- Corporate transaction experience (due diligence / corporate finance / M&A experience)
- Big 4 qualified accountant (newly qualified considered) with CF experience
- Good understanding of real estate valuation techniques.
