Estates Manager - West Midlands
A Local Authority in the West Midlands are looking for a highly experienced Estates Manager to join their growing property team.
About the role
On a practical day to day level, the Council are looking for GP surveyor(s) to undertake a cross section of duties dealing with day to day tenant relationships issues, repairs, assignments, consents for other purposes, service charges, valuations for marketing purposes, dilapidations, debt recovery/repossessions. The is a varied role and may also encourporate other duties that the team have to complete.
The Council's portfolio is rich, varied and sometimes complex, with circa 5,500 interests which range from cable wayleaves through to shops, offices, workshops, municipal shops, farms, ground leases and industrial estates.
Ideally you will be MRICS with an educated degree within a relevant subject. You will be at an advantage if you can demonstrate a knowledge of rating and asset valuation and have experience of working in Local Government.
The position will run until at least the end of June with a posibility of extension and the rate is upwards of £40 an hour.
