Project Surveyor / PQS

THE ROLE

I am now seeking a PROJECT SURVEYOR / QUANTITY SURVEYOR who has around three years post graduate experience or who has been working for a firm of PQS whilst doing their BSc on day release.

A background working for another UK firm of PQS or multi disciplinary consultants is essential.

You will be involved in pre and post contract work across a range of projects including high end residential, schools, offices, retail and insurance work.

Good prospects for an ambitious QS to join a smallish friendly firm with three partners, four associates who are growing their office in South West London five minutes walk from Vauxhall station.

THE CLIENT

My client is a firm of construction consultants offering clients a range of services including quantity surveying, project management etc.

They have a good variety of projects for new build, refurbishment and fit out across a wide variety of clients.

THE CANDIDATE

You will be either a Quantity Surveyor with a QS Degree and around three years or more post graduate experience or you may have been working for a firm of PQS whilst doing your degree on day release or you may be almost or already chartered.

If you are not yet chartered support will be provided.

You will need to have good pre and post contract experience is required including cost planning, tender documentation, contract administration through to final account.

You should be able to run your own projects which are varied and generally valued from £150K to £30m.

You will have a stable work record and have worked for a known UK firm of PQS or consultants.

Good communication skills are essential to deal directly with clients.

You will be keen to join a small firm who are expanding their office.

You will work on projects mainly in the central London area.

Salary in the range of £40000 to £50000 per annum, pension, RICS fees etc.
