Job Title: Head of Estate Maintenance

Location: Suffolk/ Cambridgeshire/ Essex border.

Salary: £44-48,000 pa (depending on experience)

Role Description:

We are looking to employ a Head of Estate Maintenance. The Employer is a privately owned country estate near Haverhill in Suffolk.

The Estate includes around 225 cottages and farmhouses (many are listed or lie within conservation areas) and a number of offices, commercial, and agricultural buildings.

The Role:

You will be a well organised individual who can manage planned and reactive property repairs and maintenance on the Estate properties, using both external contractors and two employed builders. The role will be based at our office in Thurlow and in addition to the repair work identified above, it will include improvement, refurbishment, alteration and new build contracts to budget. The role will include management, review and implementation of Health and Safety legislation applicable to the work.

The successful candidate will have a recognised professional qualification such as: MCIOB, MRICS, MCABE, MCIAT, an extensive knowledge of Building Construction, Building Services, Building Contract administration and financial reporting, working with Local Planning authorities, Building Inspectors and other professionals and be competent in the use of AutoCAD as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

It is also important that the candidate has good communication skills, self-motivation and is able to work independently.
