Associate Project Manager

THE ROLE

I am now seeking an ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER (or Senior Project Manager) who has around five years post graduate experience or more working on construction projects based in Birmingham.

A background working for another UK firm of construction consultants, developers or multi disciplinary consultants is essential.

You will be involved in running construction projects from inception to completion across a range of projects including warehousing / logistics buildings, high end residential, education, commercial, healthcare, sports and leisure.

Good prospects for an ambitious Project Manager to join a large firm of consultants.

THE CLIENT

My client is a large firm of construction consultants offering clients a range of services including quantity surveying, project management, building surveying, health & safety etc.

They have a good variety of projects for new build, refurbishment and fit out across a wide variety of clients.

They have offices across the UK and overseas.

THE CANDIDATE

You will need to currently be working as a Senior Project Manager or Associate Project Manager with another firm of construction consultants or similar.

Ideally you will have broad based experience across a range of construction projects.

Experience in particular on industrial warehousing / logistics buildings would be useful.

You will have a Construction / Built Environment Degree and you may be chartered or just experienced within this industry.

You must be able to drive the projects forward to completion within time and on budget.

You should have experience of project management from RIBA Stage 1 to completion.

You will have knowledge of a range of building contracts and have good contract administration experience.

You should have the ability to develop potential opportunities to secure more business.

Good communication skills are essential to deal directly with clients. You must be able to get on with people at all levels and be a good organiser to move the project forward.

Salary is highly negotiable according to your skills and experience and there will also be a car allowance, pension, health insurance, professional fees etc.
