Acquisitions - Residential Ground Rents

My client is a fast-moving, entrepreneurial real estate investment firm building one of the UK's most rapidly expanding residential ground rent portfolios. To support this growth, they currently have an opening for a tenacious, motivated and highly organised individual to join our tight-knit team as an Acquisitions Manager.

The Acquisitions Manager role presents an incredible opportunity for a persistent, confident problem-solver with excellent communication skills to have a critical role within an exciting real estate investment start-up, gaining immediate exposure to multi-million pound deals.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Establish, develop and maintain long-term relationships with developers and agents.
  • Ensure that the Company receives full information on leads within set timeframes and produce a summary of all relevant lead details in order to review the appropriate strategy for the lead with the Director.
  • Offer and negotiate terms for the purchase of a freehold
  • Progress offers to either acceptance or aborted in a timely fashion to ensure that workload is consistently manageable in order to meet targets
  • Prepare heads of terms and instruct solicitors to progress each transaction forward to completion.
  • Obtain main contact points from vendor and prepare and send handover pack to the Asset Managers.
  • Log and analyse all elements in order to produce a weekly acquisition report in the prescribed format.

Required Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes:

  • Previous experience in a role that required persistent and consistent communication efforts with various parties to obtain required information or outstanding action items
  • Exposure to the legal process and/or documentation requirements of residential real estate sales, such as within a real estate agency office or managing agent
  • Knowledge and/or previous experience of CRM systems and general sales processes
  • Demonstrated interest in real estate investment and/or financial markets
  • Eager to add value wherever they can as a collaborative team player
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced, demanding and high-pressure office environment
