Nottinghamshire County Council

Group Manager Property Asset Management

Salary up to £75,000

Are you a full member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), at ease with leading the implementation of a 5-year local authority Corporate Property Strategy and understand the importance of public service?  If you are, we’re looking for you to lead Nottinghamshire County Council’s Corporate Property function.

Nottinghamshire is a place of legend, famous for its history and unique heritage.  It is a place of ambition, where people are industrious, pioneering and creative.  It is a place where business thrives, creating opportunities and prosperity. Through your inclusive leadership and talent management, we want you to be your own legend and help make Nottinghamshire an even greater place.

We have a fourfold vision for Nottinghamshire – to make it a great place to raise a family; to build a future; to enjoy later life and to start and grow business.  Nottinghamshire is at the heart of the Midlands Engine, is central to the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership and home to the East Midlands Hub Station for High Speed 2.  Nottinghamshire ranks first in the East Midlands for superfast and fibre broadband coverage.

Reporting to the Director of Growth & Investment, following a corporate landlord approach, this high-profile role will see you lead on planning and managing our land and property assets and major land and property developments.  You will be responsible for driving forward the capital programme and owning the Property Asset Management Plan and Service Asset Management Planning process.

WORKPLACE VALUES

You will be expected to operate in line with our five workplace values which are:

  • Open and Accountable: Work honestly and openly, and do what we have agreed
  • Embrace Diversity: Un tap and harness the power of difference
  • Courageous: Confident to innovate and improve without fear of failure
  • Ambitious: Want our services to be the best they can be, and we are making it happen
  • Collaborative: Work relentlessly to achieve win/win outcomes

WHY JOIN US?

We are passionate about diversity and providing equal opportunity and can offer elements of agile and flexible working.  Join us and you will be part of an organisation that values your contribution and empowers you to make a difference for our people and place.
