Recruitment Consultant (Trainee Positions Available)

Edgar Cowen is a successful and growing recruitment company that are looking for a bright and ambitious person to work in our Carlisle office. We occupy modern offices on Kingmoor Park and have a good working environment. We recruit Chartered Surveyors into the Construction and Property sector as well as IT professionals across the UK.

We are looking for;

1) Graduates with a good academic background and some previous work experience who have a desire to forge their career into recruitment.

2) Intelligent individuals who have relevant experience in tele-sales, business to business sales, estate agency or other targeted sales orientated professions.

3) We would also consider experienced recruiters, you may be working locally or looking to relocate back to the area. 

You must have excellent communication skills, what this means in real terms; as part of your role you will need to be able to write high quality, grammatically correct adverts and business communications such as letters and emails. We have found that people with excellent written English will always be good communicators and consequently will be a success in the role.

Secondarily, you must be able to absorb lots of new information quickly and easily, and then utilise that information to leverage opportunity for yourself and the company, you will need to be the kind of person that has the inner confidence to ask lots of questions, and use the answers to your benefit to create revenue.

You will join the team as a trainee consultant and be mentored by experienced colleagues who will guide and teach you the skills required to deal with clients and candidates in a professional manner.

The role is target driven, with excellent financial incentives for those that succeed.
We pay a decent basic salary + commission with realistic on target earnings of £25,000 in the first year and £40,000 in the second year. This is very achievable.
