Assistant Rural Surveyor

Joshua Robert are working with a leading firm of Estate Agents, Valuers and Auctioneers in the recruitment of an Assistant Rural Surveyor for their operation in Ledbury.

Based just outside of Hereford, the business has a regional focus across the counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Border Counties operating within the rural, residential and commercial sectors.

Due to growth, the business is now recruiting for an Assistant Rural Surveyor to join their busy team.

This role sits within the businesses Professional Services team and will see you work alongside one of the firms experienced partners, carrying out duties such as red book valuations, grazing license applications, farm business tenancies, cropping licenses, BPS Payments, environmental subsidies, contract farming agreements and more.

There is also a portfolio of residential properties managed by the business, you will play a part in helping maintain and manage these properties, negotiating rental increases, taking care of any maintenance tasks, using the firms approved contractors and scheduling viewings for potential tenants.

There will also be the option to assist within the companies auction house which sells anything from agricultural machinery, to motorbikes, classic cars and more.

To be successful in this role, you will be a Graduate Rural Surveyor, either setting out to gain your APC qualification or part way through and looking for a change, you will have great commercial acumen, a keen eye for detail and experience operating within the sector, a keen skill that the business are looking for is the ability to build rapport, you must be outgoing and confident and at ease talking to people from a variety of backgrounds.
