Job Details

A Local Authority in Surrey are looking for an experienced Facilities and Contracts Manager to join their Asset Management and Property Services.

The Job Role

Working within the Asset Management and Property Services division reporting to the Head of Service you will be undertaking the day to day running and maintenance of the council property this includes tenant liaison, contract management, accommodation reviews, you will have the ability to cover both hard and soft FM issues.

  • Working and dealing with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, ensuring that processes are in place for communication, performance and assessment and customers are kept informed of developments
  • Proactively resolve issues to minimise risk
  • Leading on complex projects with a record of successful implementation
  • Project management tools and techniques
  • Planning and management of resources Experience of prioritising workload, time management and dealing with conflicting priorities
  • Experience of managing and developing teams and ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve vision and priorities

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Able to demonstrate a political awareness
  • Good business support and analytical skills with the ability
  • Financial acumen and ability to analyse complex financial data
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Procurement policies, procedures and systems eg, Procurement Standards, SAP procurement tools etc
  • Knowledge of software programme and database management
  • Team player with good influencing skills, and able to bring teams together to work effectively
